Bond Trading Volume

Trading bonds?

A friend recently acquired several book volumes from an estate sale. In one of the books were several hundred bond certificates. They are issued to the deceased man; my friend doesn’t know how to contact the family. Can he cash in the bonds?

Your friend won’t be able to do anything with the bonds since they are registered in the deceased man. They would have to be re-registered and without any kind of supporting documentation, the registering agent wouldn’t re-issue in your friends name.

Best thing would be to perhaps find out from the newspaper who placed the estate ad, or maybe find out who ran the estate auction (if it was an auction).

Bond 875

Bond 875

$87.62

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Bond 875 was a small three wheeled car, made by Bond Cars Ltd in Preston, United Kingdom from 1965 70. There was also a van version from 1967, known as the Ranger. The car was announced in August 1965, though volume production got underway only during the summer of 1966. The 875 used a fourcylinder 875 cc fourstroke engine from the Rootes Group. Crucially for the dynamics of the vehicle, this was rearmounted, unlike in most other British three wheelers of the era. It was the same basic engine as used in the Hillman Imp, installed as a complete package along with the Imps transmission, rear suspension and rear wheels: however, thanks to the fact that the 875 had a fibreglass body along with aluminium doors, and weighed less than 400 kg (882 lb), the performance was good better than the Imp. The engine was the lowcompression version (compression ratio 8:1) as used in the commercial versions of the Imp the Hillman Husky and Commer Imp van and was able to run on 2star lowoctane petrol, which was cheaper than varieties used by larger and more highly tuned engines.
