What would be a fair trade for an acoustic drum set for an electric drum set?

My girl has an Pearl Export Series Drum Set (we paid appox $300 for it). She moved into an apartment and isn’t a fan of playing on a muted set. We are looking into electric sets and have found some in the classifieds around our price range ($300), we also have a few responses to our ad we posted. The offers we have come across are as follows:
-Prodigy Alesis DM5 set minus the module
-7 piece Kurzweil and Dauz triggers with cables and mounts minus the module
-Ion electronic drum set (I saw one at Target today)

Unfortunately, musical instruments have some of the worst turn around as far as selling back to stores. Your best bet to get the most out of them is to set up an add in the paper or talk to some people you know and see if anyone is interested in buying. You may be able to do the Ebay route, but mostly every buyer on ebay is looking for a price that is way under what it is supposed to be. If you can get .45 of list price back, you are doing good (most retailers sell items at about .65-.7 of MSRP).

As far as the electronic kit goes, there are some pretty good ones on Ebay called OSP’s and their price tag is pretty reasonable. Of course, if you are looking for as close to a real sound as possible, Roland is the way to go…
