Why isn’t insider trading being addressed?

I am working a stock and for no reason it will drop and rise significantly. Then an hour or two later my google alerts will appear with the latest news about that company. No other news prior to that. Then I read one news flash that it rose because of a rummer. This is insider trading, and the average joe is left out in the cold.

Insider trading is being addressed and the markets are constantly monitored.

Most of the “news” that breaks on a stock is because of rumors, that spread like wild fire, most of these stories are false. These types of rumors are not considered insider trading.

Wall street has the best communications system in the world, whether the news is rumor either fact or fiction.
By the time “news” hits service companies such as Yahoo, Google etc, it’s history and already known by the professionals.. Not because the news is late getting to them but also it takes time to assay it then distribute it.

The “average Joe” only wants to hear the “real” news but Wall Streeters have to hear it all, good and bad, and must decide on what to act upon.
If the bad news got out, and the “average Joe” acted upon it, then there would law suits all over the place.

The bottome line is “rumors” themselves are not insider trader unless issued with authorization and these types of often discovered.
A good trader/investors knows that one should not act on rumors
