Please help in preparing a cover letter for a job?

I’m trying to prepare a cover letter for an executive director position with a nonprofit company. I need some help/advice/examples of what to include in the cover letter (it’s a trade association)

The main point to convey in your cover letter (that accompanies your resume) is your interest in the postion that you are applying for.

Don’t restate your resume in the letter, but in a brief paragraph state why you think you would make a great contribution to the company or be a great assett to the team.

You should end with a positive statement such as “I am looking forward to discussing the possibilities….”

“If you need any more information please don’t hesitate to contact me at…..”
