Domain Name Trading
I’ve seen several people trading domain names on eBay and was wondering if anyone knows how to make a transfer
I purchased a domain name on godaddy and want to get rid of it, but I don’t understand the push process to transfer to a new owner. I should have researched more before listing on eBay, but then again, I really thought it was a simple process. Help!!!

Yes you can transfer your domain name from your present registrar to any other company that registers domain names. But before you transfer it make sure that its unlocked,it has not expired,Authorization code from your registrar and it should be at least have been registered for 60 days with your current registrar before transfering it.
There are good number of companies that you can transfer it to eg Domain name gone.com etc.Try to read this website below for more information on this.Good luck as you transfer it.

The Domain Name Registration System (Hardcover) $120.48 "This book offers a comparative analysis of the domain name registration systems in Australia and the United Kingdom. It analyses global trends and international perspectives of domain name registration systems and the dynamics in the respective domain name systems. The research project explores the advantages and disadvantages of the restrictive domain name registration system and the less restrictive registration system by addressing issues of consumer protection and promoting growth in the number of domain name registrations. The book analyses several different types of domain name registration systems and analyses the regulatory frameworks in the restrictive and unrestrictive registration systems. It considers recent developments in this area such asthe new transfer rules in Australia which allows for the sale of domain name licence, the new Business Name Registration rules due to enter into force in 2011 in Australia, and the new policy rules on domain name dispute resolution in the United Kingdom.Jenny Ng also examines the legal and economic implications of these regulatory frameworks, drawing upon economic theory, regulatory and systems theory as well as legal analysis and comparison of regulatory frameworks. In doing so the work puts forwards ways in which such systems could be better designed to reflect the needs of the specific circumstances in individual jurisdictions"– |

Law of Trademarks, Brands and Domain Names in China $128.95 China's laws, which protect trademarks, brands and domain names, are of paramount concern to companies trading with and investing in China. This book analyses these laws, which have recently been promulgated in order to comply with TRIPS, the international agreement on Trade Related Intellectual Property Rights, in preparation for China's possible entry into the World Trade Organization in 2001. It examines Chinese notions of protecting trademarks and brands, traces the historical background, and considers how Chinese attitudes to law, lawyers and courts might affect this'foreign legal transplant'. It includes practical details on how to register and protect trademarks, brands and domain names, and how to translate these successfully into Chinese, and also includes an English text of the new laws. |
