Energy Trading Houston
How close was the Bush Administration to “Kenny Boy” Lay and the Houston, Texas based Enron crimes?
All those market manipulations and power trading crimes that we’re still paying for in higher power rates were centered in Texas while W was governor. Cheney met with Enron executives in secret to set US energy policy during in Bush’s first term. If Bush and Cheney weren’t directly involved in Enron ripping off all those people’s retirements didn’t they at least just let it happen?
Cheney would sell his grandmother into slavery if it made his buddies in the oil biz an extra 50 cents. He’s already sold out our country for them. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit to find out that Iraq happened just to give Haliburton a profit (after all, he did take a multi-million dollar parachute from them when he left as CEO to run for VP).
Rove and his minions have been pretty good about hiding the depth to which Shrub & Co were involved in Enron, but the truth will someday out, and when it does, Bush better hope he has a buddy in the WH who can pardon him.

Energy Derivatives: Trading Emerging Markets $142.55 The new financial markets for energy trading encompass the new frontiers for the application of financial engineering techniques. Financial derivatives now influence all facets of the energy value chain for both energy producers and end users, and include oil, gas and electricity. But the latest breakthrough is the globalization of new commodity markets driven by the power of the Internet at a faster pace of market adoption. The new markets covered in this book go beyond traditional energy trading and include telecommunications bandwidth trading, environmental emissions trading, weather derivatives, electronic energy trading, and coal trading. Driven by the market drivers of energy deregulation and competition, energy markets are now rife with more risk, and need the application of risk management techniques in these new markets. In effect, the new markets are becoming commoditized and altering the landscape of financial engineering. Energy Derivatives: Trading Emerging Markets focuses on the globalization of energy risk management in these new commodity and financial markets. It identifies the market opportunities and points the way to the next wave of where energy trading is heading. It is written for the layman who needs to understand these new market dynamics in easy to understand English not jargon. The book simplifies complexity. In the wake of the Enron financial debacle, the need to know about energy trading is now greater than ever.
