Etrade Ameritrade Merger

For All Stock GURU’s – What is ETRADE’s Future ???

This question is for all the stock gurus out there…I Have purchased ETRADE Financial Corp. Stocks for $ 5.30 today….And there are news that some broker is going to Take Over Etrade ….Or Etrade Is going to Merge with AmeriTrade ….So according to you’ll What is Etrades future…Will the Etrade Share price rise in the Near future as a result of the merger , or will it go down….

Etrade is a buy if you can get in around $4.00. In the near term, you are going to see a merger or take over from someone. The longer the merger takes the further you are going to see the price decline. I do not feel getting in at $5.30 is going to be a great thing. Exactly how much upside do you think there is going to be at this price?

The big unknown is how much debt does Etrade have? How much more exposure to the sub-prime mess does Etrade have? My guess is it is going to get worse before better. If that is the case, you may see a Schwab decide they don’t have to buy the company, the customers are going to come over anyway.
