Etrade Charles Schwab
I am 24 years old and about to open an IRA account with a brokerage. What brokerage firm do you recommend?
I found some that I am interested but have no idea how they do. 1. Ameritrade 2. Scottrade 3. Charles Schwab 4. Fidelity 5. RowePrice T. 6. ETRADE How do you think these companies do? Would you recommend one of them? What type of investment would you go? Mutual Funds, Shares, ETFs, etc. ..? Open to any proposal. Thank you
I do not think there is any on the list who have problems at all. I would recommend Scottrade if you want to invest in individual stocks / ETFs that do not pay high dividend (Scottrade does allow you to reinvest your dividends, which is a disadvantage important). If you want to go through mutual funds, I think E-Trade would be better. Make sure that whatever money you want is available from your broker preferred.
