Etrade International Shares
Investment: Does anyone have experiences they can share with me?
What I’m looking for is information from your personal experience (so I can learn from it) using: Etrade, Scottrade, Ameritrade, and BuyandHold (dot com), investment websites.
I am not seeking personal financial information, just the lessons learned.
My Initial investment to open an account will be around $5K.
How difficult/easy was it to sign-up, begin trading, and what were the typical fees per amount per transaction?
I plan on investing and exchanging individual stocks, both US domestic and International, in the $500-$1k range or so. This is a hobby (something I can play with when I’m not out partying) and education for now; but the investments are real as they will be another resource towards my and my wife’s retirement.
I didn’t see anywhere to set up a “fake” account to learn on; if you can direct me to one, that also would be helpful to me.
