Etrade Korea

How can I as US resident purchase stock in south korea?

I know only a few institutions can trade in south korea. Schwab can but charges 3% markup. Etrade has a south korean subsidiary but they can only open accounts if you show up in person in South Korea. So what’s the most effective way to purchase South Korean stock that doesn’t have ADRs traded in the US for a US resident (I don’t have the korean nationality)?

It is really difficult and like the other guy said, they are not set up to give you the info that you would expect from a US broker. The closest thing you can do easily, is to buy the ETF EWY (which I own a lot of)
