How Etrade Works

Etrade.com, how does it work?

I’m new to the whole investing thing & I’ve been looking at Etrade.com for a while. I don’t exaclty know what it does, but I’d really like to know. Does anyone here have an account with them, & if so how does it work, what does it do, and is it worth while?
