Is Etrade Good For Day Trading

Profiting from the early movement of stocks?

Good day. I am a finance student at LSU who has just taken his first finance class time this summer. One morning, while watching Squawkbox, I noticed that the Dow Jones was moving to the NYSE was open. When I asked my teacher about it, he said stocks are traded in other markets. However, if you do not own shares in the day, you can not enjoy one of these movements. My question is, if you do not own the stock on the eve of a big announcement is made (as the ImClone deal, for example) How can you trade on other markets? Is this a feature that companies like ETrade / etc Fidelity can offer? Or does everyone in the United States must wait until the NYSE is open before we can trade?

I am not aware that reports CNBC Dow move before the market opening, but they do not report the S & P, and what you see is the futures market and not the spot market. The futures market S & P trades virtually overnight, with a break of fifteen minutes before the opening spot market at 930 E. While CNBC has a value for the Dow, it is too likely to run a number and does not trade securities Dow. After hours there is negotiation. Thus, if there is anything relevant news about the stock at the close of trading, 4 E, after-hours trade here in the U.S. can respond to this. The market is open after hours just a few hours is not the business of the night all contracts term. Market like stocks trading on the market before, I'm not sure they are actually negotiated. You may be see bid / ask trade takes place without number. But it is undoubtedly true that some of these stocks can trade on the market before on foreign exchanges.
