Making A Living Trading Options
I am wondering if a trade school is the best option for a college student who would rather work with his hands
i am wodering if anyone else has felt the same way I do. I feel as if i am wasting my time in college. I want to get out into the workforce and start an internship as soon as possible so that i can start to make a living. my father is already a plumber and is a member of the local union. I would also like to know of the other trades available to a kid like me.
It’s not an “internship”—it’s an Apprenticeship, and yes, if you can find an employer who want to sponsor your apprenticeship, or you have connections through the union, you should go for it. It’s 3-4 years before you become a Journeyman”, but you’re earning money all the time—more as you become more skilled.
It’s a decent living, and it’s too bad High School Counselors don’t talk up apprenticeship. It’s seems like for a lot of counselors (and students) it’s college or McDonald’s.
There are a lot of trades. The traditional ones include plumber, electrician, welder, machinist (Tool & Die Maker). That last one is very interesting.
