Property Investment in Hong Kong?
I need some good conversation regarding the Economy and Investments in Hong Kong. With Chinese Reminbi devaluating against US dollar, will it affect adversely to Hong Kong export/trading business? How about HK Property investers? Are the residential property values going to drop in Hong Kong? I have 3 residential properties in HK – all under mortgage. I need some serious advise so I can plan to either sell it off or keep up the investment to see a bright future.
I may need further discussion over Finance/Economy/Investments in Hong Kong. Please inform if anybody open for this discussion with me. Thanks.
Sorry you missed your chance. Property in HK is slipping. And you need a new financial adviser if you think the RMB is devaluing.
Most of my friends bailed out a year ago. I’m sure you would not invest in three HK properties with money you needed so you may as well sit on it and pass it to your Grandchildren.
That’s called a legacy.
Good Luck

ShortTerm Trading $105.14 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Shortterm trading refers to those trading strategies in stock market or futures market in which the time duration between entry and exit is within a range of few days to few weeks. There are two main school of thoughts: day trading and trend following. In finance, a trading strategy (see also trading system) is a predefined set of rules for making trading decisions. Traders, investment firms and fund managers use a trading strategy to help make wiser investment decisions and help eliminate the emotional aspect of trading. A trading strategy is governed by a set of rules that do not deviate. Emotional bias is eliminated because the systems operate within the parameters known by the trader. The parameters can be trusted based on historical analysis (backtesting) and real world market studies (forward testing), so that the trader can have confidence in the strategy and its operating characteristics. Property Derivatives $71.7 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles A property derivative is a financial derivative whose value is derived from the value of an underlying real estate asset. In practice, because real estate assets fall victim to market inefficiencies and are hard to accurately price, property derivative contracts are typically written based on a real estate property index. In turn, the real estate property index attempts to aggregate real estate market information to provide a more accurate representation of underlying real estate asset performance. Trading or taking positions in property derivatives is also known as synthetic real estate. Property derivatives usually take the form of a total return swap, forward contract, futures, or can adopt a funded format where the property derivative is embedded into a bond or note structure. Under the total return swap or forward contract the parties will usually take contrary positions on the price movements of a property index. Return Distributions in Finance $214.66 Quantitative methods have revolutionised the area of trading, regulation, risk management, portfolio construction, asset pricing and treasury activities, and governmental activity such as central banking. One of the original contributions in this area is the classic by Cootner entitled The Random Nature of Stock Market Prices. This work investigated the statistical properties of asset prices and was one of the first works to investigate this area in a rigorous manner. Much has happened in this field in the last 35 years and Return Distributions in Finance contains much new information that reflects this huge growth. The authors combined experience reflects not only the new theory but also the new practice in this fascinating area. The rise of financial engineering now allows us to change the nature of asset returns to whatever pattern we desire, albeit at a cost. Benefits and costs can only be understood if we understand the underlying processes. Return Distributions in Finance allows us to gain that understanding. Assists in understanding asset return distributionsProvides a full overview of financial risk management techniques in asset allocationDemonstrates how to use asset return forecast applications Author: Knight, John/ Satchell, Stephen/ Knight, John Series Title: Quantitative Finance Binding Type: Hardcover Number of Pages: 224 Publication Date: 2001/01/17 Language: English Dimensions: 9.70 x 6.38 x 0.88 inches |
