Top 5 Ways To Get Low Cost traffic to your website

There’s one single most important thing you need to generate income from your website: Traffic. If people don’t visit your site,it won’t make you any money. Theres so many websites out there wasting away doing nothing. Sometimes it takes money to maintain an income generating website,but not always,and certainly not a boat load of money. Sometimes it takes money to make money. Again only sometimes.

Ever wonder how the big hitters drive traffic to their site? Most of them are spending a lot of money to drive the traffic to their sites, investing in many advertising campaigns and different forms of marketing schemes and all that jazz. The big earners can afford to spend thousands driving traffic to their site because,well,beacuse they’re big earners.

But what about the little fish,the people who don’t have huge advertising budgets.They have to rely on free or low cost traffic methods. There are many ways to generate low cost website traffic without having to spend what you don’t have or can’t afford. There are a lot of people who spend a lot of money,and lose a lot of money,on traffic generating methods,and still dont get the results.

Here are my top 5 low cost traffic getting strategies:

Exchange Links

This is a great technique and its proven to work. It’s very uncommon to visit a website without seeing a link to another website. There are many ywebsite owners who are willing to exchange links with one another so that they can raise more public awareness about their websites. You should soon see and feel the sudden change in traffic coming in to your site from other sites.

A great tip is to to share links with websites that have similar content to your website. It would be pointless exchanging links with a website about cars when your website is about making money online.

Exchanging links also increases your chances of getting a high ranking in search engine results. Search engines rank websites high when they have inbound and outbound theme-related links. Getting a good ranking on the search engines will generate even more traffic without the large cost.

Traffic Exchange

This is similar to exchanging links but on a different, slightly higher level. This can also cost a bit more than exchanging or trading links but could be made cheaper because you can earn credits. You can then use those credits when viewing other peoples traffic, while you earn credits when someone views yours.

Traffic exchange services are basically the viewing of another persons website or page and vice versa. You both benefit from each others efforts to generate traffic. The other sites visitors can go to your pages and know more about your site as well as theirs. Again the public awareness of your websites existence is boosted.

Write and Submit Articles

One of my favourites. HINT: Im doing this one right now. There are many e-zines and article submission sites online which provide free space for articles to be submitted. To save money, you can write articles yourself. There are many sites where you can find other people to do the work for you,this is called outsourcing. For a small fee you can have someone write your articles,but i prefer to write my own.

Your articles should be written so that they match the niche of the site you want to link it to. If you’re writing articles as a way to make money, then you want to base you’re article on the product or service you’re going to link to at the end of the article. Write something that you have expertise on so that when your audience reads it, they can feel your knowledge about the subject and will be eager to go to your website. Write articles that give tips and guidelines to the subject or niche your site has.

Include a resource box (also known as a signature box) at the end of your article that can link them to your site or affiliate page. Write a little about yourself and your site. If you provide a light,info filled, interesting article, they will go to your site for more.

Make a Newsletter.

A lot of people think this is hard work because of all the articles you may need to use to build a newsletter, but it’s actually easier than you think. There are many writers and webmasters that are willing to provide free articles and content in exchange for their name on your newsletter. This will also provide free advertising for them as well.

As your newsletter gets passed around, you can broaden your public awareness and build an opt-in list that can regularly visit your site.

Join Online Communities and Forums

Posting on forums requires your time only. You can share your knowledge and expertise with many online communities. You can get free advertising when you go to forums that have the same subject or niche with your site.

Just by participating in forums and giving good content,can increase your stature as someone who knows what they are doing………a leader.
