Stop Trading With China
why does the US trade with China when their #1 reason not to trade w/ Cuba is they are comunisits so is china?
we have a zero tolerance policy on trading with comunisist countrys why dont we stop trading with China?
We don’t have a “zero tolerance policy” on trading with communist nations. We have active trade with Vietnam, for one. In fact, we are trying to radify a free trade agreeement with Vietnam this month.
Cuba is a unique case, dating back to the 1960s and the Revolution. Cuba was ruled by Batista, and many American businesses exploited the Cuban people and recieved kickbacks. Castro basically nationalized everything and booted our companies. We tried to kill Castro many times and invade the island. The successful resolution to the Cuban Missle Crisis included a U.S. guarantee that we would not invade Cuba. However, we still needed to isolate their regime and prevent a Soviet, communist ‘lackey’ from disrupting affairs in Latin America. Since Castro is still in power and has never refrained from being hostile towards the U.S., the American government never dropped the embargo. Basically, we are trying to ‘strangle’ their country’s economy and that has never worked.
If Castro dies, it could be a whole new ballgame.
China is a different issue. The U.S. formed a closer alliance in China during the Cold War. Although China and the Soviet Union were both communist, they did not like each other, and Nixon at the time viewed a closer alliance with China as a move agaist Moscow. Plus, do you know how big the market is in China?? Without China, most of our good would be much more expensive. And, that is a HUGE market for American goods. Trade is a win-win game.

The Risk of Trading (Hardcover) $91.93 Trading Risk takes an in-depth look at the challenges traders have in regards to one of the most critical facets of trading: risk management. The book takes a magnifying look at risk that every trader needs to have and understand in order to be successful in trading. Most traders look at risk in terms of a "stop-loss" that enables them to exit a losing trade quickly. In Trading Risk, Michael Toma explains that risk is ever-present in every aspect of trading and advocates that traders adopt a more comprehensive view of risk that encompasses the strategic trading plan; account size; drawdowns; maximum possible losses; psychological capital; and crisis management. He advocates that traders conduct a detailed statistical analysis of their methodology through backtesting and real-time results so as to identify when the methodology may be breaking down in actual trading. Ultimately, Toma asserts, traders should look at themselves more as project managers who are constantly managing risk rather than gamblers placing bets and hoping over time to come out ahead. In so doing, traders will begin to operate more as business managers and are much likely to avoid market-busting losses and achieve consistently good results. |

Trend Trading (Paperback) $48.98 If you have no time to follow the market closely, then Trend Trading is the book for you. Trend trading is one of the most effective and easy-to-use methods for making money in the market. Success depends on identifying the trend with confidence and catching the trend after it has started, and on getting out as soon as possible after the uptrend turns into a downtrend. The book examines in detail the steps in finding, assessing, selecting, managing and monitoring a long-term trend trade. These are proven, successful methods which are easy to understand and apply. Included are the most recent updates and developments in using the count back line and the Guppy Multiple Moving Average. Daryl Guppy also includes a practical look at setting stop loss conditions to protect capital and profits, and a bonus section on Darvas-style trend trading which is the first significant update of this technique in forty years. Trend Trading shows readers how to use and apply the analysis tools to find effective long-term trades. These can be applied to any group of selected stocks, whether chosen on fundamental criteria, from stock tip newsletters, or found using database technical scans. From this starting point, Guppy shows how the better trades are identified, how risk is managed, and how the trades are closed successfully. The book includes examples of Daryl`s personal trades. |
