Why wasn’t legislation passed to keep Wall St. from Failing again, before we rushed to Reform Health Care?
Ya know, multi-tasking is great in some situations but not in Washington … when the threat of financial collapse still looms. Wall Street was Bailed Out and our attention shifted to Health Care Reform BEFORE anything tangible was done to make Wall Street and Main Street truly productive in a manner of any integrity.
And if the NYSE has *Circuit Breakers* to halt trading in the event of a drastic decline, why doesn’t Washington follow suit so that issues are taken care of prior to moving on to other issues? Washington needs to deal with ONE BIG ISSUE at a time. Health Care Reform can wait, because it’s worthless without Financial Stability, in my stupid opinion.

Beery has a good point. However the bill (HR3200) is not health care reform, it is a government takeover, that does nothing to address the reasons health care costs have risen so dramatically. THe CBO says it will not save any money. And history shows that it will decrease the care that Americans have come to love and expect from their health care system. Does there need to be some reform? Absolutely… HR 3200 is not it. Why not see if the government can reform medicare and medicaid to see if those saving that Obama talks about are even possible? I would rather the government fix whats wrong with their system before they come to work on mine.
