Why is it that the people that benefit the least from capatalist venture are it’s staunchest defenders ?
The red states if you will are some of the very poorest, and yet these states are where Bush and Cheney had their best margins in 04 …that recruiting for the military get’s it’s best numbers 40% (of inlisted..pentagon figures ) as opposed to about 14% from major Cities .

So.. you receive less, you support it with your Faith, Sons and Daughters, Money and votes.. but it doesn’t make it’s way back to you thanks to free trade agreements (Job loss) Giant tax cut’s for the rich, and an all out war on family owned farms ???

Why the disconnect for these good people ?
for the same reason that the majority of the people who fought for the south in the civil war didnt own slaves at all: hope. the poor always believe that they can get a slice of what the upper 1% have, and they want to be remembered when the government comes knocking for taxes.
