Here are some random questions about the MLB. Please answer all of them with a short but clear explanation?
1st- Does Boston need a power bat in the outfield?
2nd- Are the Mariners going to win the division over the Angels?
3rd- Do the Reds have a chance of winning the Wild Card?
4th- Will Tejeda be the same at another position?
5th- If Boston complete that rumored trade of Adrian Gonzalez for Jacoby Ellsbury and Clay Bucholz. I understnad Mike Cameron will play center field anyway but what position will Youkilis play?
1. Yes. For some reason they stockpiled past-their-prime third basemen during the offseason instead of signing a decent bat in the outfield.
2. I hope so, but it’s going to be a three-way battle. Don’t count out the Rangers.
3. Yes, the NL is wide open for almost any team not named ‘Pirates’
4. I think his age will be more of a factor than his position.

Well, no team should pass up a chance to land Adrian Gonzalez, but it causes all sorts of problems for Boston with their collection of corner infielders – Beltre, Lowell, Youkilis and then Gonzalez? And they’ve already got an ok DH…can any of them play left field? If they complete the Gonzalez trade, I think another trade must follow.
