Trading Silver Stocks

Should I wait to buy silver stock?

I’ve been doing some reading online and it seems silver prices will dip down soon into a price correction. I’ve been watching a silver stock Silver Weaton (SLW.to traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange). I know silver prices may not necessarily have a direct impact on silver stock, but they seem to have an influence. Should I wait for silver prices to fall in hopes that the stock will go down as well?

I’ve been watching SLW myself. An initial position on SLW can be acquired on a daily CLOSE above $11.00. A follow-up position should then be bought on a weekly close above $12.00.

If speculation were an exact science, one would simply have to analyze a situation, select the appropriate rule, and buy or sell accordingly. But the factors that influence prices are infinite in number and character, as well as in their effect upon the market; and the speculators forecasts of the probable outcome are nothing more than composite products of his own emotional equipment, his theoretical knowledge of the principles involved, and that reservoir of accumulated memories called Experience. from Intuition The corporate arena in the United States has changed tremendously since the early years of the Great Depression, but the basics of buying, selling, and makingand losingmoney in the stock market have remained the same. This eighth edition of a classic of stock speculation was assembled from articles appearing in The Magazine of Wall Street in 1926 and 1927 and updated in 1933, just as new market rules and regulations were coming into play to prevent Black Friday from occurring again. With a straightforward tone and solid insight, this work, still recommended as must reading for players in the market, covers: the principles and techniques of manipulation tape reading the law of averages charts and mechanical systems fundamentals what to buy, and when rights, arbitrage, and puts and calls and more. The Truth About Day Trading Stocks (Hardcover)

$76.18

A realistic guide to day trading today`s stock market The Truth About Day Trading Stocks is an uncompromisingly realistic look at the challenges involved in becoming a successful day trader. Based on author Josh DiPietro`s ten years of experience as a day trader, this book dissects the psychological and strategic pitfalls that cause most aspiring day traders to fail. Written in an engaging and sometimes humorous tone, The Truth About Day Trading Stocks relates his own experiences, and in so doing, provides the reader with valuable lessons. This book is an antidote to trading industry hype that encourages traders to believe that trading is easily learned and is a fast path to wealth. It explains that the conventional route of attending seminars, buying software, and opening an account with a major brokerage house is a path to failure. Instead, a trader must learn hard lessons of self-discipline, consistency, and staying in the game for the long haul to have a real chance of success. The goal of this guide is to slow down the over-eager, over-optimistic amateur day trader by imparting a realistic view of the challenges of day trading and providing tools, techniques, and insights to become a successful trader without losing a huge amount of money in the process. Josh DiPietro (West Dennis, MA and New York, NY) has been day trading stocks for ten years. He operates a Web site, www.daytraderjosh.com, and provides training programs for aspiring day traders.

Continuing as a trader and educator in the stock, commodity and bond markets throughout the early 1900s, Wyckoff was curious about the logic behind market action. Through conversations, interviews and research of the successful traders of his time, Wyckoff augmented and documented the methodology he traded and taught. Wyckoff worked with and studied them all, himself, Jesse Livermore, E. H. Harriman, James R. Keene, Otto Kahn, J.P. Morgan, and many other large operators of the day. Wyckoff implemented his methods outlined in this book, in the financial markets, and grew his account to such a magnitude that he eventually owned nine and a half acres and a mansion next door to the General Motors Industrialist, Alfred Sloans Estate, in Great Neck, New York (Hamptons). As Wyckoff became wealthier, he also became altruistic about the publics Wall Street experience. He turned his attention and passion to education, teaching, and in publishing exposs such as Bucket shops and How to Avoid Them, which were run in New Yorks The Saturday Evening Post starting in 1922.
