How do I play the Harry Potter Trading Card Game?

I bought my coustins the HP tradeing card game. We have no idea how to play it. I know I know your thinking why buy it? Well she like HP and It look like something fun to play… So if you know please tell me!

I think your not supposed to let your character die.
You can use spells and float traps away from your character.

Example; your playing as harry Potter.
If the other player, herimone kills potter. you lose.
If you kill herimone you win.

I think thats how you play. Cause I see people in my high school. playing it like that.
I don’t play. But my buddies like to play it.
Careful watch out for Suicidal Spells.
