DRUG COMPANIES TAKE OVER UN WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION by J.E. Ante

The major drug companies of the world have banded together to take over the UN World Trade Organization and ban natural supplements, herbs, and other natural foods and treatments from the world diet.

The World Food Code or Codex Alimentarius of the UN World Trade Organization is due to become mandatory in December 2009 for the entire World. All nations not in compliance face severe trade penalties by all other WHO member countries of the world.

The top guy at the UN WHO who is in control is Dr. Rolf Grossklaus, an MD who believes “nutrition is not relevant to health”. Dr. Grossklaus has declared nutrients to be toxins in 1994 and all nutrients must have a toxic risk assestment done. Dr. Grossklaus owns the private company CCNFSDU which does all of these risk assessments of all nutrients. Dr. Grossklaus makes money whenever a toxic risk assessment is made. This behavior is a gross conflict of interest and would not be tolerated in most any WHO member countries.

The science of Risk Assessment in toxicology is the wrong science to assess vitamins, minerals, and other natural nutrients. Natural substances are not toxins they are nutrients and natural to the human body. All natural substances should be entirely exempt from any regulation by the UN and the WTO. As natural substances vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and herbs are foods and were so classified in the USA in 1994 by the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA). Any attempt to regulate any natural substance from governments should be vigorously opposed.

Our own FDA in America which is heavily influenced and controlled by the major drug companies should be banned from regulating natural substances as a conflict of interest. Because of current and past gross misconduct and abuses the FDA should not be allowed to continue to do harm to the growing alternative health care industry in America. The FDA should only be allowed to issue advisory bulletins only if they see possible harm in natural substance uses.

It is a gross conflict of interest for the drug industry to regulate their competitors in alternative healthcare through the government or private offices of the FDA or local AMA associations which are staffed by doctors hostile to alternative medicine in America. And who frequently are hired to lucrative jobs in the drug industry after they leave the FDA and AMA services.

The UN Codex regulations will allow only very low doses of any vitamin, mineral, amino acid, or herb and so it is designed to end all higher clinically effective doses and make higher doses used by alternative healthcare illegal in America and the World.

Alternative healthcare has the safest record of any branch of healthcare in the world and also the most effective by any measure of science. The major drug companies are loosing major portions of their income to people who are switching over to alternative healthcare or simply dying because of its highly toxic “drug therapies”. And the young people who are less trusting of drug companies and medical doctors are choosing alternative healthcare over “drug therapies” after they see their own parent’s struggles, agonies, and deaths with the current drug treatments from Big Pharma.

Big Pharma drug therapies of today kill more people in a single year “by accident” than all alternative therapies combined have kill in the past two thousand years of recorded history. And these accidental deaths by Big Pharma therapies are only the ones that are officially admitted by major drug companies.

The (WHO) World Trade Organization intends to enforce these regulations on all members including America beginning in 2010. And the WHO has extreme enforcement powers to do this. The Codex is based on Napoleonic Code not Common Law and anything not explicitly permitted is forbidden. With Common Law anything not explicitly permitted in allowed so the Codex would be able to ban all clinical doses of vitamins, mineral, amino acids, and herbs by default.

Urge all UN ambassadors from every nation to overturn Codex and ban the major drug companies of the world from regulating alternative medicine and natural therapies out of existence. Say no to the Big Pharma companies of the world who spent $758 million last year in lobbying the USA Congress. And take back the world from the greed of secret interests and behind the scene dealings of the rich and powerful who love money and power more than their own neighbors.– J.E. Ante

The Project actually scored a Top 40 hit with “(The System of) Doctor Tarr and Professor Feather.” Thanks to FM radio overplay, h…

World trade is governed by the rules of the World Trade Organization(WTO), the successor to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT). The WTOsets rules of conduct for the international trade of goods and services and forintellectual property rights, provides a forum for multinational negotiations toresolve trade problems, and has a formal mechanism for dispute settlement. It is theprimary institution working, through rulebased bargaining, at freeing trade. In thisbook, Kyle Bagwell and Robert Staiger provide an economic analysis and justificationfor the purpose and design of the GATT/WTO. They summarize their own research, discuss the major features of the GATT agreement, and survey the literature on tradeagreements. Their focus on the termsoftrade externality is particularly originaland ties the book together. Topics include the theory of trade agreements, theorigin and design of the GATT and the WTO, the principles of reciprocity, the mostfavored nation principle, termsoftrade theory, enforcement, preferential tradeagreements, labor and environmental standards, competition policy, and agriculturalexport subsidies. WTO and the Global Trading System

WTO and the Global Trading System

The West – led by successive US administrations, the World Bank and the IMF, and supported by phalanxes of development consultants – has told developing countries for over twenty years that their development depends on opening up their economies to world trade and attracting foreign investment. The result – living standards fall ever further behind those of the industrial countries and inequality soars. Now the West has initiated, at the Doha meeting of the WTO in late 2001, a new round of world trade negotiations. There ought to be one central issue: how can the rules of the world trading system be changed to foster the process of development rather than, as at present, primarily benefiting the already wealthy countries?Martin Khor offers a trenchant and wide-ranging overview of the current world trading system. He puts forward proposals for improving every major aspect of it and the WTO Agreements that enshrine its rules. Demanding that the developed countries live up to their own trade commitments, he outlines the overall principles informing a world trade system that genuinely fosters human development throughout the world. Here is a book whose concrete and detailed proposals can act as a focal point around which both developing countries and NGOs can organise their efforts during the forthcoming new trade round. The aim must be to bring about fundamental changes in the world trade system.
